 Urmston Partnership
Urmston Town Centre ClockWho we are

The Urmston Partnership is a non-profit, self funding organisation formed to help tackle everyday issues that affect the town centre and to promote Urmston. It involves local businesses, major retailers, developers and landowners, residents, community groups, schools, representatives from Trafford Council and other statutory organisations working together to ensure our town centre remains a vibrant area. The Partnership is a recognised representative organisation for Urmston businesses and we are regularly consulted on town centre proposals and planning applications. All monies raised are spent in Urmston on improvements and raising the town’s profile.

As a local business, community group or non-profit making organisation, the Partnership needs your commitment, enthusiasm and ideas to help the town fulfil its vision of vitality for the future.

Specifically, we:
  • Bring businesses together to identify and tackle issues collectively

  • Share management information i.e. visitor or crime statistics, to help our members make more informed, strategic decisions

  • Help to secure funding to promote Urmston and for town centre projects to improve trading conditions

  • Link our members with organisations who can enact positive change by presenting our concerns in a robust and constructive manner.
Partnership in Action

The shopping centre redevelopment, car parking and transportation are always high on our agenda. We negotiated with Ask Property Developments and Trafford Council for a publicity budget to promote existing businesses whilst the shopping centre regeneration works take place, the temporary re-opening of a car park at Winifred Road and a one way traffic order on Crofts Bank Road to ensure access to the town centre whilst road improvement works were underway.

Your membership fee of £26 for businesses or £13 for other groups and residents will bring you:

  • Crime Prevention Information
  • Useful Contacts List
  • Twice yearly newsletter
  • Latest Action Plan
  • A website listing with brief description
  • Invitations to Partnership meetings
  • Regular town centre updates
  • Press releases about Urmston and Partnership activities
  • Regular events/entertainment programmes
  • Environmental schemes
