Recent investment in the town has included
extensive refurbishment of the landmark
old Police Station as office space,
restoring the building back to its former
Edwardian splendour. The disused Victorian
Railway Station in the heart of the town
has also been renovated as a quality
bar/pub whilst retaining its Victorian
character and there have been smaller
scale refurbishments of businesses in
other parts of the town.
Ask Property Development’s multi-milion
pound transformation of the dated 1960s
precinct into
Eden Square,
www.askabouturmston.co.uk – a shopping
centre that has already started to provide
a mix of retail, leisure and community
facilities as well as some stylish
apartments - is redefining the heart of
the town and assisting in attracting more
shoppers to the area.
Eden Square's first phase of development,
anchored by a new Sainsbury's store - the
first in the north of Trafford - opened in
June 2009 with the new car park (offering
3 hours free parking for shoppers) and
Library also opening then. New businesses
are taking units in the shopping centre
and people are starting to move in to the
completed apartments.
Whilst in the surrounding area,
environmental improvements have
complemented the work done within the new
development. |
