 Close to two junctions
(Junction 9 and 10) on the M60 motorway,
Urmston is linked with the motorway
network system of the M62, M56, M6 and M61
and Manchester Airport is about 25 minutes
away by car.

The town centre benefits from a number of
free Council owned car parks all highlighted on the
map
in this section as well as on street
parking bays. There will also be a main
new car park open in 2009 as part of the
redeveloped shopping centre off Crofts
Bank Road.
With a train station in the heart of the
town along the Manchester to Liverpool
rail route and an extensive bus network,
Urmston has excellent links to Manchester
city centre 6 miles away and further away.

Urmston’s compact layout and mainly flat
surfaces mean that all its shopping areas,
dining and leisure facilities are easily
reached by pedestrians, pushchair and
wheelchair users.

and additional facilities will be provided
